INTRODUCING OUR LOVELY TASTING ROOM We are extremely proud of our new tasting room which has seating room for 24! Completed at the very beginning of September 2012, just in time for our grand opening, it showcases the amazing talent of several local contractors in the Scottsville, VA area including Fred Oesch of Oesch Environmental Design, Eric Adams of Adams Home Renovations, John Koski of Main Stay Homes, Tommy Wood of Paint & Plaster, Ray Lamb of Lamb Electrical, James Pace and Rick Miller of Logs and Lumber not to mention the involvement of many others who helped bring this amazing project to the finish line! Arguably one of the most dazzling aspects of the tasting room are the custom bars and table tops as well as the mirror frame which are all made from Virginia white pine. Other decorative elements include copper found on the face of the bar and behind the taps as well as a whole sink made from copper in the bathroom. A very creative aspect of the tasting room is found in the reclaimed wood taken from dilapidated barns and other outbuildings in the Scottsville area which were utilized to hide support beams, outline doorways, create a window enclave and shelf and used to create a backboard for the bathroom sink and a bulletin board for current events on the tasting room wall. Also notice the centerpiece above the brewery window where the clock hangs. This was a great solution to not having a piece of reclaimed board long enough to accommodate the window. The paint scheme itself is ingenious with several different colors and patterns tying the ambiance of the tasting room together into a warm, cozy atmosphere. Notice the one wall with streaking effects - this was done completely by hand! Other notable features include the bar lights which can be dimmed, the track lighting and the ceiling light covers which help denote a vintage appeal. An interesting feature that was included in the tasting room was the creation of a large viewing window to see into the production side of the brewery.
